Nocturno by Jordi Savall: interview and photographs

The intimate atmosphere of the late-evening solo concert by Jordi Savall, where he appeared only with his viola da gamba on an otherwise bare stage, has been captured by our photographer. The bareness of the stage seems to have been intended to contrast with the aural richness of the instrument of which he is a master. With a programme aptly entitled ‚Les Voix Humaines‘ Savall thoroughly charmed the audience.
